After eleven years living, dancing, teaching tango, and writing in Buenos Aires, I came home to L.A. in 2014, where I'm reconstructing my life.

Here's What I Want You to Do..

C.S.I. Miami is one of my favorite TV shows. I love the computer tweaked Miami colors, the interesting characters, and especially David Caruso's Horatio Caine, ex homicide detective turned Crime Scene Investigator. Standing in a graceful slouch, he takes off his sunglasses, looks at you and says in a calm and compelling voice, "Here's what I want you to do." And you trust him and you're not afraid anymore. And you want to do exactly what he's going to tell you to do, and you do it.

That's what happens when someone calm and graceful, musical and confident takes a woman in his arms to dance tango. He doesn't say anything, but says everything. His body tells you what he wants you to do and you do it with pleasure. You feel safe, and free. And it's now that you can fully express yourself and the music because he has taken care of all the basics and you know he will take care of you, and of absolutely everything.

What a beautiful post. The same could be said about relationships, but that's for a whole other blog, isn't it?

Thank you, Jenny.

Yes, I agree. Trust is hugely important in tango--and all human relationships.

Ooh, I feel another post coming on...

You made me burst out with laughter in pleasure of reading your post, it is a wonderful imagery you invited us into.

Let us all hope that there won't be many cases of "Milonga Murders" anywhere in the world although we might have all seen cases of "dance of death" on some dance floors.

Thank you again :)
