After eleven years living, dancing, teaching tango, and writing in Buenos Aires, I came home to L.A. in 2014, where I'm reconstructing my life.

Tango Tour: Weekend With Raymond

A toast to tango in La Milonga de los Consagrados.

Buenos Aires celebrated the coming of Spring last weekend in a big way. First of all, the weather cooperated, and was lovely. Flowers were given out at many business, and the milongas voted on the Queen of Spring. On Susana Gimenez's popular TV talk show, a Mister Spring was chosen from 20 gorgeous young guys in white bathing suits.

Seeing the sights of La Boca. Raymond puts on tango drag and poses for the camera.

We had the good luck to spend the weekend with our tango student from Albuquerque, New Mexico, who took a three-day Tango Tour with us. We went to milongas at Region Leonesa, La Ideal, and El Arranque after private lessons. Here are some photo highlights.

El Samovar de Rasputin is our usual parrilla in La Boca, but was closed this day so we chose Los Gitanos next door.

Our favorite restaurant in San Telmo, Don Ernesto, where we can write on the walls.
