After eleven years living, dancing, teaching tango, and writing in Buenos Aires, I came home to L.A. in 2014, where I'm reconstructing my life.

Ooooo. I love that painting! It speaks with such elegance about the journey. The hopefull quality of the colorful garment, the dimness of the room...is one arriving or departing? What will happpen? Thanks, as usual, your post makes my day!

I'm so glad you love it! Me too, obviously!
There's something about all his work that really moves me. Did you see the one he painted for me with my tango shoes?
I happen to know that the fabric in the suitcase of this one is a flamenco skirt.
He painted one for Ballet Theatre, or maybe it was City Ballet, of a suitcase full of point shoes.

Yes, I know the one with your shoes! We had an email exchange about it a while back...I hope it's true that you will allow me to see the actual work. Looking forward to our lesson in November!

You write a wonderful blog, I look forward to your entries because they engage the mind, and the eyes.

Hi Elizabeth,
sorry our "art exchange" had slipped my mind. I'm in L.A. for a couple of weeks trying to get even more papers for Argentine Imigracion, a neverending struggle, I fear.
I'm SO looking forward to meeting you in November and absolutely you will see the painting in person, and it will be fun to chat "live."

You have some terrific things on your blog.

What a joke with that guy and his spins on Reggis & Kelli, but at least he got the publicity on the show -- and, you know, you always need a gimmick.

Is there maybe a lol symbol you can put on your Michele & Chris article -- very funny.

How to present yourself - you walk like a headliner all the time, cause you are!

After reading "Tango: The Dark Side" I now have my excuse never to come back down to BsAs again.

See you soon, maybe, but not down there.
