I so strongly recommend that you visit Iguazu, truly one of the most incredible natural spots in the world.
I felt the same way, Tina, when I first glimpsed the falls (complete with rainbow). My heart choked up and I started to cry.
My regret is that I didn't have enough time actually in the park. We were in Iguazu for 4 days and 3 nights, and only 5 hours at Las Cataratas (the falls)! And those 5 hours you are hiking to one spot or another or getting on a train or a truck or a boat, walking single file with hordes of other tourists and guides, and I just longed for a quiet spot, a picnic lunch, and communion with nature.
It's organized to process as many tourists as possible and they do a great job of getting people in and out, but it wasn't enough for me.
We couldn't get a hotel reservation before we left so we just took our chances and went anyway; so our hotel was masomenos, mostly menos. I think if you can POSSIBLY afford it (and that's a big IF), it would be worth it to stay at the super dooper expensive Sheraton, which is the only hotel with waterfall views and is in the park.
As it is, I'm thankful I got to go and hope to return one day.

OMG - wow. What a gorgeous site! I'm so glad you went. My turn next... :D
I don't know why but this picture brought tears to my eyes. It's just so beautiful and a reminder of how great this world still is.
